Miradores de Revilla

Category
Excursions

We will leave with the car from the hotel direction France, by the A-138 until the locality of Hospital de Tella, where we will take a detour to the left direction Tella. Before reaching Tella, turn off towards Lamiana and Revilla. A few metres before Revilla, leave the car and look for signs to start the route.

Take the path that follows a strip over the river Yaga. When the path forks, go left. Crossing a leafy forest you will cross a bridge. Soon a beautiful view of the Escuaín Gorge opens up. Spectacular rocky slopes flank the route to your right. When you reach a sign to the “Ermita de San Lorenzo” pointing to the right you can visit the remains of the chapel.

Almost immediately you will reach the first viewpoint. At the bottom of the gorge you can see the Yaga river. On the opposite side the Major Castle.

The second viewpoint opens a view over the confluence of the Angonés ravine and the Yaga river gorge.

During the tour you will be able to see, with a bit of luck, numerous species of birds of prey, such as the Griffon Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Bearded Vulture, etc…

The return, by the same route.
